Kashiwaya Guesthouse

About 15 years ago, we have remodeled the three-storied building to the east south asia style guesthouse. And we gave it a new name 'Kashiwaya'

Kashiwaya guesthouse has been the place to stay for a lot of guests in Okinawa for over 15 years, and still is.

Kashiwaya guesthouse is located in Ukishima street which is familiar with a lot of fashionable shops. There is a restaurant, bar, clothing shop, barber shop, etc. Not only the fashionable shops, but also there are a lot of long-established shops when you turn the corner on the street. One of the wide known place is Kousetsu-Ichiba (public market) At the place, Okinawan local people has been running such as meat shop, fish shop, and restaurant. It is very unique and tradition atmosphere.
Also, Kashiwaya is very close to Kokusai street which has a lot of restaurant, souvenirs shops and so on. It is around 300m from Kashiwaya. And every Sunday, Kokusai street is free of vehicle day and there is a dance performing and play area for kids.

We provide male dorms, female dorms and 5 private rooms.
In the dorm, each bed has a electric outlet, light bulb and luggage space. Actually, the sizes of beds are designed a little bigger, so you can sleep and relax comfortably.

In the private room, it is possible to stay for 3 people in maximum. There is a LAN cable for the laptop in each room.

Kahiwaya has a common relax space which we call 'Yuntaku-ba' on the second floor. Yuntaku means talking in Okinawan direct. Anyway just feel relax in here and reading a various comics and books, watching TV/DVD, playing music(until 10:00 PM) . Also, we have two laptops and wifi is flying cover the whole of Kashiwaya. However, the most attractive point in here is the guest! A lot of traveller are coming from all over the world, so you can share information with friends. It is irregular, but we sometimes hold a party like a potluck. Let's have a toast with us!

Also, there is a free space on the first floor. Actually, it was used to a restaurant, but now it is closed. Sometimes, we have band nights, show a movie on the big screen or lecture presentation. And, we purchased a ping-pong table freshly! After checking in, let's have a march with staffs!

We have a roof terrace and there are three washing machines(1times/100yen)

When the weather is fine, it is very nice place to relax, feel comfortable breeze, catch some rays, or sip a cold beer with sunset!

It is possible to check in from 11:00 AM to 0:00 AM (If passing midnight, please let us know in advance.)
And also, the check out time is 11:00 AM.
We English speaking staffs attend to the room.
