The actual place was good, but I didn't have a great experience. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get to and from the guest house and the airport or the nightlife areas (without a motorbike). There was a disappointing lack of good tea nearby, though there was a great Indian restaurant down the road. The owner and only English speaking employee was out of town that week, so that was frustrating, too. But it was a quiet, safe place on the beach, so I ultimately enjoyed it.

It's a standard backpackers hostel. Pretty much hits everywhere it needs to. I don't have big positive things to say, but that doesn't mean the stay was bad, just that it was perfectly sufficient. Two negative notes - the pool is gross and one of the staff members charged me for the free breakfast. That said, I'd probably be willing to stay again.

They pretty much nailed it here. I stayed for two weeks by myself as a mental holiday. It took me a few days to get used to the geckos and frogs, but once I did it was exactly what I was looking for. My bungalow was standard and the international TV package was good. Wi-Fi was excellent - I was able to stream some shows and watch YouTube. The gem is the outdoor space. There is a large pavilion that serves as common space, which is cozy, includes a kitchen, and is always open!

Pros: Location - right on the transit line in the heart of Bangkok Staff - extremely friendly and helpful Atmosphere - nice and quiet, just how I like it! Cleanliness - the place was spotless 100% of the time Cons: Noise - the walls are thin, so outside noises can come in and loud guests are heard by everyone
