General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 1 week prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
Cancellation / No Show & Reduction in Numbers Policy
If you need to cancel, we want to work with you. If you cancel a week or more in advance you will receive a full refund.
If you are unable to cancel a full week in advance but can give us at least 48 hours notice prior to your reservation date you will receive a 50% refund for your room or bed. If we are able to re-book your room or bed you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your reservation date you will not receive a refund. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, death or weather related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy.
Additional policies apply to group reservations of three or more rooms.
All cancellations must be provided to the our staff in writing. You will receive any refund due within 30 days.
Additional Terms and Conditions
Check-in: 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
(For after hours check in, i.e. after 6 p.m., request must be made prior to arrival, please call or email us).
We are a non-smoking property for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke on premises are subject to a minimum $400.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.
Free parking is available to all our overnight guests.
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.
All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days advance written notice required prior to any personal or professional photo shoots. No closed door filming allowed. Additional fees apply.
Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur the postage and handling fees and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your security deposit on file. These include but are not limited to linens, pillows, mugs, room key, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.
Eastside Guesthouse is centrally located in downtown Bishop, CA, but with our green space, creek, pond, and patios (most with mountain views) you’ll have no problem escaping the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
Along with ample outdoor space, Eastside Guesthouse also offers a large indoor community room with bathrooms, kitchen, fireplace, roll up garage doors for nice days, complimentary locally roasted coffee, and complimentary wifi.
You can rent a bunk with a shared bathroom, private family room with private bathroom, private room with private bathroom, or an apartment at Eastside Guesthouse. All rooms have heating and air-conditioning, and most have mountain views. There is WiFi access in our common area, which also includes a cooking area, fireplace, and comfortable couches. You can enjoy mountain views on one of our several patios or deck space.
Eastside Guesthouse terms and conditions:
Cancellation policy: 1 week (168h) before arrival.
Check in from 15:00 to 22:00.
Check out before 11:00.
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
We accept all credit cards except for Diners.
This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival.
Taxes not included - 14.00%
Breakfast not included.
Reception hour from 07:00 to 22:00.
You can check in at any time. If you check in late there will be a letter on the office door with all of the info you need to get into your room. Management is onsite if you have any trouble.
No pets allowed
If children staying in bunk rooms please make sure they are old enough to be quiet and respect other guests, otherwise please rent a private room or the entire bunk room.
