Group Booking Terms and Conditions
Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking
General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 2 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School, Business Trip, Sports Group, Cultural Group If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.
This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies.
Check-In: 2:00 PM
Check-Out: 11:00 AM
Property and Cancellation Policies:
-If you wish to cancel your reservation, you will need to notify us via e-mail 14 days prior to your arrival date before 2:00 pm to be entitled to a whole refund.
-If you book within the 14 days cancellation policy, your reservation will be non-refundable.
However, if we are able to resell your bed/room, we will reimburse you for the corresponding days that were resold.
-No Show: If you fail to show up on the arrival date, your booking will be cancelled and you will not be entitled to a refund. If you arrive a day late without informing the hotel, then we may have already resold your bed.
-Cancellations made during the stay will not be reimbursed. If we are able to resell your bed/room, we will reimburse you for the corresponding days that were resold.
1. Check In & Check Out
New arrivals can check in any time after 2 pm (Check-ins that arrive late at night will be shown their bed by security and are required to come to reception first thing the following morning to process payment). If you arrive earlier than this we have secure storage for bags until beds and lockers are free and you are more than welcome to use all other facilities on offer. Check out time is 11am and this is non negotiable, our staff need ample time to change beds and clean rooms for new arrivals. If your flight or transport is not until later in the afternoon or night you also are welcome to store bags and use facilities. We require Passport details and an understanding of the terms and conditions below.
We take debit or credit card payments. The price for one night of the reservation will be collected as a deposit upon completing the booking. The total amount of the reservation will be charged 14 days prior to arrival, following the terms and conditions of our property and cancellation policies.

3. Room Allocation
If you are booking with friends in one of the dorms please stipulate if you need to be put in the same room and we will endeavor to do so if possible. As we are regularly fully booked this may not be possible. If you are wanting to change beds or swap with another guest you must request to reception staff first as this is often not possible and can cause a lot of problems.
4. Guest Behavior
The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to us. Any guest, who in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local community will be requested to leave the hotel premises and will not be given a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff, local community and property.
5. In Room Policy
Drinking, smoking and eating are not allowed in the rooms, this, however, is the only place on the property you are not allowed to do so, everywhere else is fine to do so. We just ask that you do so as cleanly as possible. Footwear is not allowed in the rooms and we ask that towels are hung on towel racks provided. There is also a strong "BAGS IN LOCKERS" policy this is not only for cleanliness but also safety. We do not offer towels for the dorms, however towels are sold in town.
6. No Drugs
The penalties attached to drug charges in Costa Rica are very severe. With this said we neither condone nor allow any form of drug use or possession.
7. Personal Property
Secure lockers are provided with every bed and are large enough to store all of your possessions. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. We accept no liability for the loss, theft or damage to guests property. Locks are provided in room and keys will be given from reception. Failure to return keys at checkout will be charged a penalty fee of 15.00 USD. Clothing or personal items left at the premises will be kept for a fortnight then if not reclaimed or notified the property will be donated to Charity.
8. Damage to Property
Guests will be expected to reimburse Somos for any damage caused by inappropriate behavior during their stay, which will be detailed to them on check-in. This includes towels, bedding even in case of accidental damage.
Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by Somos negligence, Somos's liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked. As a provider of accommodation, Somos places personal safety and wellbeing atop our list of concerns. However, Somos will not be in any way liable for any injury or incident caused by guest negligence, or situations in which we cannot control.
All Somos guests must be over the age of 18. This is to ensure the safety of the child and experience of our guests. Somos guests are expected to wear the provided armbands. This armband allows our staff to know that you are in fact a guest and that we have your contact details recorded. People not wearing Somos armbands (friends of guests) are to exit the property by 10 pm and not return until 10 am. Friends of guests are also not allowed to bring outside food or drink and are the responsibility of the guest who has invited them.
We do not offer towels for the dorms, however towels are sold in town.
