The staff were some of the most unfriendly staff I've ever encountered working in a hostel. Front of house are sarcastic and incompetent, we had to get our keys to the private room fixed everyday. They would activate one and deactivate the other. The breakfast team acted like they would all rather be somewhere else. We were a couple but as a solo traveller their attitude would of made me feel so unwelcome. The pool is disgusting, the hotel looks far smaller and run down than the photos look.

Excellent hostel for solo travellers like myself

I chose this hostel bc it had good reviews and I dig the eco vibe. I woke up at 2am to itchy bites on my arms and hands. I switched the light on and there were bugs in the bed with me and even more crawling on the walls. When I showed staff the bugs and my arms they didn’t seem surprised. I got the impression that they hoped I just wouldn’t say anything. No other beds avail so I was forced to camp on the sofa with drunk men hanging around the kitchen. Don’t spend xtra £ for this hostel.

God awful atmosphere here, this isn’t a backpackers for solo travellers at all because it’s very cliquey . The rooms are modern and nice but the hostel is let down by rude, impersonal staff and the awkward atmosphere they’ve created. Staff wouldn’t allow us to check in 10 mins early, despite waiting patiently for hours and everything seemed to be a money grab. Expensive breakfast and drinks...

The hostel isn’t that great, the beds are hard and it’s a bit of a walk into town and a 20-30min ride to haze rin . But the staff ( the lovely rep) was the saving grace of this hostel, she got everyone together playing games and created a fun vibe without pressuring us to buy drinks :) The rooms need upgrading as the shower in our room was impossible to use and the toilet kept drowning the floor each time someone flushed.

Friendly welcome on arrival but we overheard one of the staff members make a racist which made us feel unwelcome, when we asked him about it he denied it but then apologised. Not good enough. The rooms are very basic and for £16 you’d expect a softer mattress and clean functioning showers. The showers barley dribbled and they were always cold, it’s impossible to wash your hair here. The bar area has a good atmosphere. We stayed a week and the hostel didn’t have WiFi for the first 5 days.

We really liked the rooms at this hostel, lovely tall ceilings with a nice view of makati. It’s more of a hotel vibe than a backpackers and you find all ages here. Bathrooms were large and clean with amenities such a cotton buds and shower caps. Staff were professional and friendly. THE RESTAURANT is amazing !!! I hope we find ourselves in Manila again just for the incredible food they serve and the lovely service. A nice hostel if you just landed and don’t mind not meeting anyone yet.

NapPark isn’t the same fun hostel it was when I had previously visited. They have a weird yt guy they’ve hired as a rep who’s very creepy and kept hitting on me when my bf wasn’t around. The rooms are the same, spacious and a lil cool thanks to the AC and the bathrooms are clean and the showers are nice and hot :) We’d stay again if we were tired and didn’t fancy socialising otherwise this isn’t the spot to really meet people. ( we stayed twice on this trip, same vibe each time)

It lacks the social atmosphere of a lot of smaller non branded hostels. Pros- clean, not 2far from the centre; Gd for groups and older guests, usb bed charger for each bed Cons- very expensive ad-ons. €8 for a awful pasta served cold. €3 for towels €8 breakfast. The lockers won’t work if you have a flexi padlock. Staff are indifferent and cold - will ignore you at check in. No bed curtains. The shelf above my bed had tissues leftover from previous guest. Not suitable for solo travellers.

I really like this hostel. It has two buildings and I wasn’t in the main one so it was pretty quiet, maybe too quiet for a solo traveller - depends :) The location is perfect, 2 min walk from the bus and train station ! There were plenty of older guests in their 60’s staying over when I visited which was odd for a hostel but they were pleasant and friendly. Clean safe hostel with a lovely pasta class - worth it !

Nice clean hostel but the staff really let it down. I was surprised to see a male receptionist at the desk but he ended up being the loveliest member of staff there. He was super helpful and friendly. Sadly, the other members of staff were rude and uninterested in creating a friendly vibe. “I’m not going to go back and forth ” I overheard one telling a guest when she wanted to put her luggage away upon early check in. I was hoping for a better atmosphere for a female only hostel.

The security for this hostel is none existent. They keep everyone’s passports in a food container, unlocked under the desk that is open to anyone who walks past. I left my backpack at the hostel for a few hours after checkout and was reassured that it would be safe....I came back and £200 was missing from the wallet I kept in my backpack. Such a shame as the location was good but the we won’t be staying there on our visit to the island next year.

Very basic hostel with good security. I've stayed here twice before and this hostel is fine if you're staying a night or two but not much longer than that. You can't sit up in the bunks and the mattress sinks when you lay in it. The hostel is slap bang in the middle of town which is perfect for getting around. I didn't experience the typical backpackers vibe that you get with hostels but that didn't bother me as I was visiting family. Breakfast is free - toast, juices and fruit :))

This hostel is in a good location in punta Cana, about 15 min walk from the beach. It was essentially the owners home with bunk beds in the spare room, cool idea but it meant you were tip toeing around the flat and tbh I felt that they were watching everything I did. BL: They were welcoming and informed about the area, the rooms were clean and comfortable but the staff need to relax in order give this place a hostel feel.

This hostel has a lot of potential, it's beautiful from the outside but could do with a updating. I stayed in the summer and was the only person staying in the room which made dealing with roaches even scarier. The staff were nice and the location wasn't too bad but you do have to get a short mototaxi as the gated community is massive. Sadly, I won't be coming back because I can't deal with roaches especially if they're in the toilet.

Please get rid of the creepy expat at the bar that goes out of his way to make female staff and guests feel uncomfortable. It's not ok just because he spends money at the bar. Otherwise, nice clean hostel with friendly staff and cheap drinks at the bar.

I stayed in this hostel back in 2015 and my 2017 experience was completely different. The water in this hostel was rancid, it smelt like something died in the main pipes. This meant I couldn't take a shower, couldn't brush my teeth or any wash cutlery. I had to buy bottles of water, out of my own pocket. Bed sheets were dirty. The staff didn't seem to know the local area/things to do/ etc . The only pro's with this hostel now is it's location as it's a short walk from the beach.

They showed me to the hostel which is literally a door off the street and you're into the dorm. Very tiny lockers and no security. I refused to stay there. They showed me to another dorm, opposite they had which was actually very nice and new, personal lights where a nice touch. The vibe wasn't great because I was staying there alone and I was the only one in the dorm. But for the new dorm they showed me I rate it highly & I appreciate the staff putting me in a safer more secure dormitory.

Nice hostel, not the cheapest in bangkok but worth it because it's very clean they play great music and it's easy enough to meet people or watch films downstairs. when I would stay at other hostels I would come over to Nappark to just chill in the good vibes :)

I would recommend a stay here ! Beautiful and unique hostel. Very clean and nice atmosphere. They have a smoking room and breakfast bus that will make it easy to make friends ! I loved my stay here, the only downside maybe is the location; very straight forward but it's just abit of a commute. Lucky lake is worth it though :) This hostel is by far the best hostel I have stayed in, it's beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great hippy vibe here.

I've stayed in St.chris' before it's a good chain and I know what to expect. This was a nice clean hostel and the location was good, easy to find from both metro stations, crimee and laumiere :) I would stay here again because it's a good quality hostel but it lacks that cosy social vibe. I loved that they have a club downstairs but I wish they did activities so it's easier to make friends, especially for solo travellers. Bottom line, great hostel just missing that personal touch :)

Can I just say that I love this Hostel ! Great location, stones through from RLD and 7mins from dam square. I can say that the staff were beyond helpful and really made my experience. The staff had no problem helping me pick another room to stay in when I was lonely in my quiet one. Always helpful and willing to help :) The rooms were clean and basic and the lockers are cheap just €2 for the whole stay. They had a well stocked bar with a affordable menu. Love you guys :) - Aaliyah, London x
