Monastery Cave Hotel is the name of an exquisitely restored 13 room troglodyte cave house opened in 1968, in Mustafapasa/sinasos.
Village near Urgup in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey.
Part of the hotel was used by Christian monks until recently.
Some of the rooms were actually monk cells.
The quality of the cave rooms makes you feel cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Volcanic rock called 'tufa' is perfect insulation material which keeps the temperature between 17 - 20 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

In the hotel kitchen, organically produced food is used.

Beautiful place, tasty food, and staff who make you feel like family. From the get-go, Ercan made us feel at home, gave us excellent tips (he is a certified tour guide as well), and helped us find our way around. Would definitely want to go again!

If you stay here, you will be treated like family, I truly mean family. I received a truly local experience from hanging out with Ercan and the locals folks who hang at the cafe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone (family or solo travel) as I was a solo travel but did not alone at anytime. I met many local people who just are the most hospitable people you will meet. Ercan (the owner) is also very well connected and can help with any tours that you'd like and can arrange for non tourist tour

Hosts were absolutely amazing. You are in for a treat when staying here. Become friends with the locals and you will end up having once in a lifetime experience. Ask for Aden and go on a bike ride in the mountains. Worth your while.
