Nice hostel in the center of Cuenca, nice rooms and clean bathrooms. The owner is a very nice person that will give you all kind of tips for enjoying your stay in Cuenca. Kitchen is ok with enough utensils. There are no lockers in the rooms, that’s the only negative.

Character but older hostel located opposite the mercado which was handy to pick up food daily. Though after 9pm the area was very quiet. Really great roof top with fab views across the city. Tony was great as was Rado on providing information and recommendations on what to do in Cuenca and also in Ecuador in general. In the dorm there is an en-suite bathroom which is handy but above the door to the bathrooom there is a wood cutout design which is open and not filled with a glass pane which meant you could h

In the middle of the heart of Cuenca, El Cafecito offers a homelike hostel experience with comfortable beds and a very nice roof top terrace with excellent views over the city. The host Tony is the best manager you can hope for, with plenty of knowledge about the town itself but also a chilled out attitude and native english to help travellers feel comfortable.
The dorm was spacious enough with an en suite bathroom. There were no curtains on beds and power outlets were sparse, but I liked it.
