The Secret Garden is in Soweto, Moshi. Located on the outskirts of Moshi, in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of town but very accessible to all Moshi has to offer in a matter of minutes! It's only a short 20 minute walk from the bus station or alternately a 5 minute taxi ride away. We can happily assist with arranging a pick- up from the bus station for just 5,000tsh or $3. It would be our pleasure to arrange an airport transfer to and from the airport to make your arrival to and departure from The Secret Garden as smooth as possible. Stayed there one night and would not go again.
I arrived there exhausted and smelly after spending 4 days climbing Kilimanjaro, I had to wait for 20 minutes prior to getting in my room because they couldn't find the key. They could not serve what was on the menu for that day.
Additionally, there were all kind of issues with the bathroom and showers of the room I was assigned to.

This place is very misleading. They gave us a 10 page menu but told us all they had was 1 hamburger for the night. They use generators for electricity so when the generators are done, you're done for lights, charging, etc. It's a disaster. Please pick somewhere else

The Secret Garden is kind of off the beaten path, outside of Moshi. You can walk to town, but most folks will take a moto or taxi. The hostel is nice, big clean rooms with en suite baths, The second floor has a bar restaurant that is very good! I recommend the guacamole! You might catch a glimpse of Mt. Kilimanjaro early or late, it is iffy. I stayed here a couple times while traveling through Moshi and it would be my first choice if I was passing through Moshi again.
