La Fortuna is named after how lucky the town was when it wasn’t destroyed by the volcano's eruption back in the 60s. This Selina is perfect to reconnect with yourself and to explore the many wonders this area has to offer. We are located right in the center of La Fortuna, which is is the name of a district and a small city located in San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela. We are located in front of the Parque de La Fortuna and a couple of minutes away walking from the bus stop. Nevertheless, the most relevant attractions of La Frotuna must be reached from our facilities by car, taxi or public transport. In this sense, some of the finest attractions of our location are: Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal and Reserva Ecológica Catarata Río Fortuna.
We offer diverse accommodation options oriented in diverse kind of guests and travellers. The outside space of the hostel was really nice. Big outside area and the pool is clean. The downside is the size of the rooms. There is no where to store bags. They have lockers above the beds which makes it claustrophobic. They have obviously shoved 6 beds in a private room - the beds were even blocking the windows so there was no natural light.
You pay more for a Selina but I would expect a better room for the price I paid. Also kitchen was tiny.

Really good hostel with excellent facilities. Well kept pool and kitchen, nice bar area. Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, but quite expensive. A very quiet hostel, with no nightlife. Only critique was that the room was extremely small, with no space for bags at all.

Stayed at this hostel for 5 nights in May with 2 other girls and we really enjoyed it! Felt safe and was located close to the city. The facilities were awesome and created a very social environment to meet other travellers and friends! Would recommend staying here!
