Locanda Stella is on the 3rd floor of a historic building overlooking the historic Via Nazionale. The building was transformed through careful renovations into a charming, small accommodation. We are near to Santa Maria Novella station, Academia Gallery, San Lorenzo market, Fortezza di Basso and the Duomo. Nearby you will find the supermarket Vivo. We are only 4 minutes from SMN Station.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to the center and near to a lot of shops and restaurants. It is pretty cheap for stay. The only thing is that the rooms, kitchen and bathroom are small. The bathrooms are very small. The lift is so small and kind of scary because it does feel like the lift is going to crash and fall. Other than that it is ok.

I have stayed in over 20 hostels in the last 2 months, this was noticeably bad. Hard to find, staff wasn’t there to check us in, was charged extra for “tourist feeâ€, 3 flights of stairs, showers and bathrooms were seriously lacking. It was cheap and it was in a good location, that’s it.

Extremely Average. Worst part of the experience was the Toilets, which were too tiny and extremely unhygienic. Stay only if you need a cheap place to crash for a night.
