Incredible and quirky loft space in the city but with a kind of cabin vibe. For me though, the main selling point was the loft terrace which is amazing and leads up a ladder to an upper loft above the room displaying a gorgeous 360 of Rome - perfect during sunset!
The location is great with maybe a 15 minute walk to the Vatican where we had an event so was great and plenty of amenities on our doorstep.
Freddie was great and helpful at every step. Highly recommended!

The hostel is a former family apartment; the four guest rooms and the one bathroom are very close together; noises could be heard from rooms and we felt claustrophobic staying there. The security cameras in all common areas felt weird too in such a small hostel/ B&B.
The owner's demand to immediately pay him in cash, including the city tax (obliged to accept by card), was unsettling and added to the weird vibe.

One Step was fabulous ! It was the first time in my 76 years staying in a hostel. Along with being spotless, the lounge /kitchen area well equipped, the staff was helpful.and friendly, and the location was perfect. It is walking distance to the Vatican and a longer walk to Tevi fountain. Also, the shared bathroom was not an issue at all
Definitely recommend !
