Located in a completely refurbished building that dates from the beginning of the 20th century, in the historical center of Ponta Delgada, The Nook Hostel appears with the purpose of being more than a place to spend the night.
We’re a small Hostel, with a cosy , homey and friendly environment, which offers the choice between shared and private rooms, and where people from different places of the world can meet and exchange experiences. All of this in the Island of São Miguel, in the Azores – the most sustainable touristic destination in the world in 2014!
Enjoy our breakfasts, our social dinners, our several activities and suggestions, our community room and all of our services. We also have a fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook your own meals! We offer free breakfast, WiFi and air conditioning. Our common areas include a fully equipped kitchen, a breakfast/lunch/dining area and a TV room.

Nice staff but hard to figure out who is staff. No proper reception area. The 4 bed female dorm was very spacious w/2 large windows and good sized lockers. Though No lock on room door and hard to close the door w/o slamming it. The 2nd floor bathroom is meh. I believe they have some water leakage issues as the hallway outside the shared floor bathroom had signs of water damage. What’s the point in having two showers in the bathroom if the only one person can use it at a time?

Gorgeous location, delicious breakfast, comfy beds, useful facilities, beautiful views, warm showers, good wifi, functional kitchen and inviting lounge.
Our wonderful host gave lots of useful advice, made us feel welcome, and made our stay very enjoyable - nothing was too much to ask!
We would very highly recommend this stay to anyone and everyone

The Nook is a very calm hostel, it is sociable at breakfast time & the breakfast is excellent, but it wasn't very busy with people to get to know in the evenings. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and allowed us to check in about 10 hours later than we had originally advised! Te beds were comfortable the rooms are spacious - the place is laid out like an apartment block so we had one bathroom on our floor, with 2 dorms using it - not ideal if someone is hogging it!
