The Green House hostel is located on the right bank of the Danube, in the middle of “Friendship Park” (Park prijateljstva) popularly called Ušće, near the bicycle track, walking and jogging path, across from the Great War Island.
At the entrance of the hostel is a modern reception desk with a very professional staff, at your service 24h. The hostel has 11 air-conditioned rooms, ground level (2 rooms) and second floor (9 rooms) with a view of the river and a large living room with a bar and a kitchen. There are two balconies on the ground level and second floor, with a view of the river, Zemun and the Belgrade Fortress.
The rooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses both on the double beds and the bunk beds, small wooden closets and lockers with keys and LED lighting.All rooms have their own bathrooms with all the necessary utilities and shower, as well as an air conditioner for both cooling and heating.
Breakfast and local taxes are included in the price.

I got a private and it was almost more of an air bnb set up so had to meet up with the manager and having no wifi to do that communication proved a little difficult
Great location right smack bang on the main strip, good facilities and wifi

The overall atmosphere was fine at the Green House hostel. Very nice staff and the spot on the water is very cool. However, this seemed to be a big disconnect with the fees. I had already paid the 10.44 euros via website but the hostel said I still needed to pay it upon checking in. Someone has it wrong and it seemed unfair to put that on the customer. The website needs to make it clear with their property managers as to who is owed what so that it's an easy check in process with the customer.

I left the room after finding 3 stink bugs in 10 minutes. I got the money back after a very unpleasant conversation with the owner. I understand that it's hard to avoid the bugs since the hostel is on the river, but for people who do care about this it would be fair to state it clearly in the description. Just to know what we're paying for.
