Hostal Puerto Engabao Surf Shelter

Hostal Puerto Engabao Surf Shelter is a hostel run by local surfers for travellers and the community. Located right by the surf point and skatepark, it is the perfect place to surf, skate, practice yoga, meet new people, work, play, or just relax. There is a great selection of surfboards available to rent and private lessons are offered by the hostel owners.

For when you are surfed out, the common area, roof top, and garden includes a yoga space, Netflix, a table tennis table, a slack line, a book exchange, skateboards, and hammocks are dotted everywhere.

Great Wifi is available throughout. The hostel also incudes it’s own family of chickens dogs and cats (who love to be petted). Laundry service is provided for $5/load. Breakfast, fresh ground Italian coffee, beers and water are all available at great prices. There is a communal kitchen with BBQ if you’d like to cook the local food and fresh fish that is available from the port.

There are dorms and private rooms available so you can easily meet new people or have your own space. All the rooms are clean and come with mosquito nets, cotton linens, towels and fans and open out onto either shared or private balconies.

Camper-vans are welcome for a small fee and there is free parking available outside the property.

The owners have lived and surfed in Puerto Engabao for over a decade and will ensure you get the most of this lovely town and surf spot.

Cancellation Policy: 2 days before arrival.In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
