You are invited to feel like at home and have fun in Gecko Hostel. Guests can relax in the patio, with the fireplace and barbecue area and the terrace with seating areas to meet up with many people from all over the world, anytime during all your stay.
The hostel is located just 10 minutes walking away from the city centre and nearby two of the best natural spots in Chile: Lake Villarrica (4 blocks) and Villarrica Volcano (18 kms). The city of Pucón is one of the best natural areas of Chile and, within the city and around, where you can enjoy outdoor, adventure or relaxing tourism activities.
At the tour desk in the hostel, guests can find useful tourism information and we can always help you with planning your stay.
Thought for your comfort, Gecko Hostel has a total of 9 new and recently furbished rooms; either private or shared, equipped with private or shared bathroom facilities. We offer rooms of many different configurations, from a suite, an 'Only Female' 6-bed dormitory room, and until a 10-bed dormitory room; the hostel’s maximum capacity is 36 people.
Guests also have access to a spacious shared fully-equipped kitchen to prepare their food and store it, showers with hot water 24 hours, Netflix in common area, free private lockers, and a shared computer.
Free parking is available on site (limited spaces) and around.

Cancellation policy: 3 days before arrival.
Check in from 13:00
Check out until 10:00
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Local taxes not included: 19%
Breakfast is not included, we offer tea and coffee anytime.
You can not enter alcohol to the establishment, but we have a small bar with very cheap prices so you can enjoy a relaxed afternoon with good friends.

The hostel is located just a few streets from the city center which I find it fine, the staff are welcoming and willing to help the problem though it's the facilities: the shower in the lobby bathroom wasn't working and there's just one bathroom/shower in a shared room of 8 so you can imagine the nuisance. There's a garden with a fire in the middle and hammocks which I absolutely loved and facilities the meeting of fellow travelers!
just fix the minor infrastructure details and you'll get 10s!

Had an AWESOME stay at Gecko hostel. Met a lot of cool people. Pucon is a great city too! Be prepared to wish you had more time there

I give this Hostal a very good rating because the host and staff are super welcoming and helpful. My recommendation would be to repair things that are worn out or broken, for example privacy curtains and shelf in your bed space. Bathrooms are very small and there were no hooks or place to put your clean clothes while you shower or a small rug or towel to keep floor dry after someone showers. It is a very lively hostal so if you like peace and quiet it may not be for you.
