Downtown Monkey Forest Lodge is located at downtown of Ubud center, in the artistic part of Ubud, Bali. Walking down, the spirit goes up because of the rustic and warm neighborhoods around. Main tourist spots are within a slow-walk distance: Monkey Forest (2 min), shuttle bus station (15 min), Ubud Palace (15min), Ubud Market (15 min). Plenty of green areas around And of course shops also restaurant.
We call ourselves part of monkey forest, because we are located just 100m from monkey forest. surrounded by trees and garden. Green is all around. And the location is very downtown indeed. Peace and nature is what we have plenty of everywhere. Our rooms are design to not overcrowded. To give comfort stay for our guests.
Outside the house we have a terrace for relaxing, and outdoor sitting area.

Please! Please PLEASE! Whatever you do, don’t stay here. It smells, rodents all over and the doors don’t lock. Very uns**e. They have no soap, toilet paper or air conditioner that works. No lights and it’s very creepy. Also, the old man tries to gyp you when you leave and will hold your stuff ho***ge. He took an extra amount of money from me. A good amount of $10 or more. I complained that I had bought breakfast. When I complained they didn’t serve me breakfast they said get out. It was utterly ridiculous. He literally snatched the money out of my hand. All the younger kids kept saying sorry and that’s all they knew he was wrong.

Come equipped with a mouse trap. A Valyrian Steel Sword would also do the trick. Unless you’re interested in spending the evening with mice as your roommate I suggest booking a different hostel. Staff denied there being mice in the room despite me showing them a picture of it under my bed. I would have also appreciated any sort of gesture to help solve the problem. Other than this, great location, they also make incredible scrambled eggs. I’d go back for breakfast hahah. Hope this review helps.
