Hostal Sol de Oro is a cozy, family hostel and travel agency located just 3 blocks from Plaza de Armas, the heart of the white city! We offer shared dorms for backpackers, as well as charming en-suite bedrooms for couples and families. Night buses are very common in Peru and it can be overwhelming arriving to a new city early in the morning with little sleep, but our reception is here to welcome you 24 hours a day! Please let us know ahead of time when we should expect you.

We are within walking distance to all the main attractions, museums, markets, restaurants, bars, clubs, and banks. We have a beautiful outdoor terrace and large garden where you can enjoy your breakfast (for an extra price), a beer with friends, admire the sunset, read a book, or catch up on emails using our free WiFi. In need of a few rest days before or after an adventure to Colca Canyon? We have lounge chairs and umbrellas on the grass below perfect for sunny days. If you are looking to save money on meals, the kitchen is well equipped and at your disposal. You can also take advantage of our TV room, computer room, book exchange, pool and ping pong tables, as well as other games. Arequipa can get chilly, but here at Hostal Sol de Oro we have hot water available all day! Our friendly and helpful staff can assist with your laundry and any questions or concerns you have throughout your stay.
