Utopia Eco Hostel, unique tropical accommodation & eco farm set amongst beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, secluded from the hustle and bustle and some of the greatest adventures to be had in Guatemala.
Located about 285 Km from Guatemala City. 11 Km from Lanquin and in the Valley of Semuc Champey approx. 3.5 Km from Semuc Champey National Park, one of Guatemala’s hidden treasures. We have about 220 meters of River Frontage along the Cahabón River.

Check in from 07:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .
After you booked your stay, we will send you an email asking for the payment of the first night of stay in order to confirm your booking. We ask for the payment to be done via Paypal. The remaining balance of your stay will be paid upon arrival by cash.

The most incredible hostel! Loved the family dinners and how welcoming and helpful all the staff were. Been travelling for a while and this place really stands out as had the nicest social chilled vibes. The hostel itself is absolutely stunning and insane value for money. Must stay if you’re visiting Semuc Champey!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Utopia! There weren’t that many guests when we were there and a lot of couples, but it was the perfect place to relax with beautiful surroundings and an amazing view. The communal meals were delicious and not too expensive (e.g. 65q for dinner + dessert and 30/40 for breakfast) and they offered free yoga in the morning (unfortunately we were not able to participate as we were too exhausted and it took place at 7:30am). We loved it here. Utopia is the perfect place to relax in the middle of the rainforest with a huge tree of life for your view from the enormous balcony/lounge it really makes you feel so close to nature.
The atmosphere is chilled but social with free yoga, affordable delicious communal meals and card games we were never bored and made great friends. The fun vibe from Pia and her volunteer staff made us feel very welcome.
Perhaps my favourite ever hostel so would highly recommend!
