Located in the middle of pristine Nicaraguan jungle - 10 to 15 minutes drive from San Juan del Sur - on the way to the popular Northern surf beach Playa Maderas, there is no better place to experience everything the bustling surf town has to offer.
the SPACE is also proud to be one of the venues for the legendary SUNDAY FUNDAY pool crawl parties on Sundays from 18:00 - 21:00. Please check the schedule for when we're hosting and be aware of this when making your booking. We encourage all of our guests to take part in this uniquely San Juan experience from start to finish! With 16 en-suite rooms, two pools, a swim-up bar & restaurant, yoga deck, mini permaculture farm, jungle picnic lawn, outdoor gym and remote work centre (mid 2022), there really is a space for everyone and everything - just as the name suggests! We rock 50mbps fibre wifi and have a generator, so we're pretty much always online. Perfect for digital nomads!
Choose from: 8 sleeper dorms (with or without AC); Private Rooms (with or without AC) or our luxurious Suites (with or without AC). Rooms include all the creature comforts.
Shuttles leave the SPACE at 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 and return from Simon Say's (a cafe in the centre of town) at 11:30, 14:30 and 17:30.

If you book 2 beds don’t expect to be put in the same room. Although advertised as two dorms, they actually have 24 beds (3 dorms) in standard room and 16 beds (2 dorms) in the superior dorm. Sadly they will prioritise customers that have booked for a longer stay to be placed in the same room. If we had known this was the case we wouldn’t have stayed. Once assigned my bed, I came back a few hours later to find my things moved and another person had taken it. Reception staff are unfriendly and unhelpful with

Our stay included Sunday funday - in which you cannot get dinner in the afternoon or can you get free drinking water even if you’re a guest so we had to wait to get water until 9:30pm. (we were informed the day after that the bathroom water is drinkable). You can get cheaper food from a small comidor down the road and I would highly recommend - it is 80 cor for a huge plate. But the owner is lovely and helped with all our troubles

This hostel is really nice. I had a dorm with AC and was actually cold at night which is rare in Nica. The only drawback was, as others mention, the distance from town and the inconvenient shuttle schedule forces you to eat at their restaurant. The food was good (and pricey) but they were always out of things and eating gluten-free was a challenge. Met some great people here!
