Showed up for our booking and the hostel was closed and not taking guests. Had to find another place to stay last minute. Have not heard from the hostel why they were closed.

We went straight to the hostel after flying in from the UK and arrived at about 9pm. The gates were locked and all of the lights where off. A neighbouring hostel told us Venado 8 had been closed for a week due to a lack of power. We were not notified of the close in advance and our deposit hasn’t been returned to us.

Stayed here for just one night, and it was awful. When we arrived the receptionist didn’t speak English, which is strange at a hostel. She was kind, but very confused, and didn’t give us any information on anything. The room was the worst. So dirty, the pillow was not even a pillow, and the sheets were dirty and horrible. The room was so messy and dirty, there was nowhere to put our stuff. People were loud, talking on the phone in the middle of the night and sleeping two people in one bed. Very strange. Thi
