Decent stay for the price. The front door was broken while we were there and they didn’t seem too bothered about fixing it, meaning people coming back in the early hours would have to bang the door down until someone got up to let them in. Other than that, the breakfast is a nice touch and there are fans to help with the heat.

This is a true hostel, a place where socializing comes naturally. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and more than happy to let you practice your Portuguese! The hostel is great value for money. Breakfast is freshly cooked and there are some cold beers waiting in the evening. A great place to explore São LuÃs.
