Our guest house is located nearby the conserved jungle of Sumatera. It's very location is sorrounded by vegetables and fruit farms so fresh vegetables and fruits are readily available around the area.
The area is also very popular for culinary experiences. The favourite of many people who come to this area is the famous Karonese grilled pork ( Babi Panggang Karo).
The majority of the people here is the ethnic Karonese. Karonese tradition is very rich with traditional proceedings. They have a very large gathering during the wedding and funeral ceremonies.
The villages of Karonese are scattered around the area. You are very welcome to visit these villages. Karonese is a friendly and respectful person.
Coffee farms are also within minutes of drive from our guest house. If you wish, you can participate in picking, grinding, and roasting the coffee beans.
Hot springs below the volcano Sibayak will be very soothing to dip into. You can trek the jungle near by.

The owners Tati and Mangsi are incredibly welcoming people and make you feel comfortable straight away. I stayed in the private roomseparate to the guesthouse at the top which was great, although didn't have a proper shower there are showers in the main guest house. Berasaghi town is a short bus away one way and Mount Sibayak is the other way so it's in a nice location but not in the main town. Bank and little convenience stores are a short walk away. Perfect place to see Berasaghi

Staying at gintribu MADE my trip to Berastagi - such wonderful hosts, it really felt like staying with old family friends. So helpful with advising public transport while in Berastagi and going to my next place. A little out of the main Berastagi area, but quick and cheap to get in via bus, and the surrounding area is very lovely and peaceful.
Would (and have) definitely recommend to a friend, hope to revisit at some point too !!

Very nice people. Will make good cheap food for you and help you organise your activities/transport etc. Beautiful location just outside the main city surrounded by farms
