The Kenza Residence is a small housing unit formed as a set of caves converted into suites to accommodate twenty guests, this 'Gte' connects simplicity, purity and originality of troglodyte habitat of the historic Cheninivillage in the Tataouine region in a large hotel finess.

Kenza Residence is managed by 'The cultural and touristic animation center KENZA ', a private initiative combining and integrating scientific cultural and touristic aspects with a focus on the study and research of the natural and cultural environment of the Ksours and the Sahara of the Tunisian south east.

It was an amazing experience!Everything was perfect!The view and landscape were breathtaking!Ahmed who manages the accommodation and restaurant is really nice ,helpful,funny and very welcoming!People are really nice in Chenini!You can easily go on a hike and see the beautiful landscape the region offers!

The experience was unique. The rooms are actually some holes in the mountain/hill where the old local population used to live. The location is Chenini, 15 km from Tataouine, take taxi for 12 dinars, then there is not much to do than sleep during the day in the cool room and wake up in the evening and wander around the village or just go to the "pubs" like the locals do. Everything was clean and authentic. Learn some French or Arabic before visiting Tunisia, otherwise you gotta mime well :)
