Princess Hostel Leidse Square is a compact, friendly and good value hostel. Being located by the Amsterdam Overtoom makes the hostel well-suited for travelers on a budget. Everything you need is close by - tourist attractions, shops, markets, Vondelpark, clubs and bars for night life and more.

Check in: 15.00 till 21.00 after that you have to ask for late check in by e-mail or by phone.
Reception close at 23.00. We have 24 hour key card access.

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the full amount. No modifications of reservations are accepted after check-in.

No cleanliness in the hostel and the rooms, i could see the tradh can full of trash. Bathrooms were so dirty and there were no hooks to hang the clothes. No adjustable shower and the shower area smelt like piss everywhere. This place has to be avoided if you can.

The staff are all very friendly and warm. The hostel is apparently the cheapest in Amsterdam so you have to keep that in mind. The carpet in the lobby and stairs is kind of gross but the rooms themselves are clean with clean bedding. The hostel feels pretty safe with key cards to get you in and out of the hostel and your room, however, when you come to check in and don’t have your key card, you can be stood waiting for ages to be let in (we even phoned the hostel to let us in)

A vary dated hotel but the age doesn't bother me. What did bother me was there was still rubbish in the room from the last guests and the room clearly hadn't been hoovered. There was even a little table to put your stuff so everything had to be piled on the floor. The sheets were clean and I slept amazingly. The toilet were clean but was only just enough room to fit in. The shower was OK for a shared shower but but could be cleaner. No signs of bed bug which was a plus. Staff are very friendly.
