Driftwood Surfer is a beachfront hostel with a swimming pool and swim up bar, great views of the ocean, air conditioned private rooms and spacious dormitories. This is a wonderful spot to relax or rent a board and go surfing. It also boasts hammocks, a fully stocked bar with free organised evening activities and great international and local cuisine in its rooftop restaurant which boasts daily specials with a range of vegetarian/vegan & gluten free dishes. We are also an integral part of the local community and support various community projects. We look forward to meeting you!

Right on the beach, perf for meeting people! Food is decent but there are better places nearby. Volleyball every day at 5pm which is super fun! It's a party hostel so there's music & drinking at the pool from early, pool looked super dirty. Dorm room is quite crammed & stuffy, outdoor bathrooms are better than the ones in the dorm. They could have more surfboards for rental, they're always all taken! Overall good vibe if you don't mind a bit of trashy kareoke and sand everywhere

can't recommend this property enough if you're visiting Guatemala and needed some beach time. The vibes are always fun, the food is good and given in massive portions, and of course you have to love cheap drinks. All the staff were lovely, but I'll especially remember how amazing and helpful Jose is - this wonderful local definitely deserves a raise. made my trip unforgettable!
