Lantana Lodge International Backpackers is located in the historic neighbourhood of Parnell, just 20 minutes’ walk from the Auckland War Memorial Museum and 10 minutes’ walk from Judges Bay. There are a number of buses going downtown which pass nearby. Guests tell us this location outside the hustle and bustle of downtown makes ‘for a better sleep while still maintaining a fun good atmosphere’. We like this hostel’s free, fast Wi-Fi and small kitchen, which is well-stocked with cooking equipment, herbs and spices.

We are a popular hostel with a friendly, homely atmosphere.
We’re located just minutes’ walk to Parnell Village, the city centre and to cinemas, bars, restaurants and shops, but away from the noise.
We have a new system installed in all the room called DVS; it gives fresh air in all the rooms, 24 hours a day.
Enjoy beautiful green parks, museum village, pub and harbour views. Take advantage of the airport direct shuttle service.
Our lovely clean rooms include dorms, doubles, twins and singles. We can accommodate up to 20 people at a time.
A common kitchen is available for the guests to use along with free tea/coffee and free herbs and spices.
You can chill out in our cosy TV/DVD lounge. We offer free internet and free Wi-Fi as well as travel information, bookings, bag storage and mail holding. We also do car rentals at very competitive prices.
If you arrive in the early morning, you are most welcome to come to the lodge after 8am to relax in our TV lounge, have a cup of coffee and check your emails ‘til your room is ready.

What makes us different from other hostels, I think, is that we're located at the end of a cul-de-sac so it's very quiet around here. This is a very good, safe residential area where everyone can feel at home. In fact, it's a home-away-from-home.
Despite our quiet location we're just five minutes' walk from Parnell Village and the Auckland Museum. Personally, I like to direct guests towards the French food market. It's an open market just a minute from our hostel, where guests can buy fresh vegetables and enjoy a French breakfast. Plus, children can have their faces painted. It's open every weekend from 8am to 2pm.
For fun around here we do BBQs, watch movies, do yoga in front of our Buddha statue and just get to know each other.
Lantana Lodge is suitable for all age groups. We're definitely not a party hostel so it's great for families. We also offer wheelchair access.
