At Sveva Bed and Breakfast

Security: the key is bold, every key can open every door. Won’t leave my stuff there, even had to sleep with the key jammed in the hole. Staff doesn’t speak English, and not nice. Room looks old, smells old and cigarettes. Doesn’t feel clean at all.

An amazing trip. The hostel in general - the rooms, kitchen , bathroom etc. are spacious and well-maintained. When we arrived the owner was not there, but he arranged for the ‘handyman’ who works/lives there to help us settle in. He also turned out to be a wonderful character! We owner is relaxed and very kind, we met him the next day to pay. Everything went very smoothly. There is an AMZING rooftop patio with a view of Catania and Etna - we enjoyed our meals there and laid in the sun. The breakfast is very simple - cookies, croissants, cereal and milk. There is also good ground coffee. I suppose a lot depends on the other guests - whether they clean after themselves etc. but the staff does their job very well. I highly recommend this hostel, 10/10 experience:)
