We are a backpacker hostel, not a hotel. Please don't book our hostel if you are not a backpacker. We are not child/family-friendly, any booking made that does not respect our age restriction will not be honoured (please refer yourself to our Terms and Conditions)
Clyde Hostel is a great place for single backpackers and small groups, catering to ages 18 to 35. Clyde hostel offers a choice of traditional multi-share accommodation and private rooms, both offering excellent budget accommodation. We are the cheapest budget priced hostel in Glasgow, so you can spend more money on seeing the sights and social activities.
We are located on the border of city centre and West end, just steps from all the best restaurants, pubs, nightlife and shopping in Glasgow. We are just minutes from the University and Kelvingrove Park and Museum.
We offer a fully stocked kitchen for you to cook meals,( you provide your own food) free tea and coffee. Our friendly staff will do everything possible to make sure you have a good time in Glasgow! Some of our facilities and amenities include: free WiFi, laundry facilities and free city maps to explore the city.
If you are up for a good time and want to meet like-minded backpackers this is the place for you!

Valid Passport or EU ID Required to check in
Please note we do not cater for local or British groups because you can't seem to behave. Single travelers or couples are fine.. In order to stay with us you have to produce EU identification or passport. No excuses. if you don't have either of these you can't travel, we don't have asylum seekers or homeless people here like other places in the city. we are strictly for backpackers and students.

Mixed feelings about this hostel. Arrived, put our bags in our room, went to get groceries and when we came back couldn’t unlock our door. Staff tried all remaining keys and none of them opened the door, so we couldn’t get into our room for about 20 minutes until someone else came back and had a key that worked. Our key didn’t work for the rest of the stay, had to rely on others being in the room. Seemed like the staff were trying to make the best of a bad situation as they were all lovely, but the hostel i

I extended my 2-3 night stay for weeks because of this lovely hostel.
Communal kitchen, free WiFi, free tea and coffee, hot pressurized showers and clean beds. As a solo traveller on a budget, I'd say this place has it all. Not only is it the cheapest in the country, but the staff are among the friendliest I've ever encountered.
With an exemplary location, the city centre is only a 10 minute bus ride away, and it's a less than 5 minute walk to streets bustling with lively pubs, bars and restaurants.
