Grand Cabin Hotel Naha Oroku

One of my favorite hostels I've stayed at. The individual rooms are wonderful, the shower facilities are immaculate, and for the price you get an awful lot. The only thing this place lacks is a full sized kitchen. It has a handful of amenities (a microwave) but isn't designed the way North American hostels are where you could actually cook etc. It's a super cheap (but very nice) hotel with mini-rooms rather than a hostel. For me that worked perfectly but for others that may matter.

The best thing about this hotel was that it was close to a metro station, and a station away from the airport. The room was comfy and clean. The bathrooms were shared, but they were squeaky clean.

Only one monorail stop from the airport so it's very convenient if you're traveling to other parts of the Ryukyus. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are blocked off by sliding accordion-style curtains that can be locked, so it feels more private than a typical capsule hotel. Towels and pajamas are included and the washroom is very clean and modern. Good water pressure on the showers if that's important to you. Far from any attractions, but the lobby cafe has a decent pizza and beer 🍻!
