Stay at Mumma’s Hostel Cairns!
Mumma’s Hostel is a fun, chilled out, very clean and budget friendly hostel in Cairns City. We are located on the same street as some of the biggest clubs in Cairns, but far enough away that you get a good night's sleep. Only a quick walk to all the local shops, bars and restaurants; and only 2 blocks from the Esplanade, Cairns Marina and the Lagoon.
Mumma’s Hostel was fully renovated in 2018 and has brand new comfy mattresses (2019) topped with crisp clean linen. The common areas are huge, so there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. We have FREE WiFi, 3 lounge areas, big screen tv with Netflix and Xbox, Free 8 ball table, ping pong table, Large kitchen with 2 ovens, cooktops and fridges, Laundry facilities that take card or cash and a great outdoor pool with day beds and a waterfall to cool off after a day full of adventure.

We offer all guests a daily Free continental breakfast.
It is easy to get to Mumma’s Hostel, we are only 10 minutes from the airport via Shuttle bus or taxi and only a short walk to the bus and train stations.

Check-in is after 2pm
Check-out is before 10am

Very nice and accommodating staff however very dirty. Does not feel social as most are long term in the hostel. Only a few showers and toilets for such an amount of poeple.

Clean and Cheap (for Cairns). reception staff are helpful. rooms are cool and relatively quiet. Loud tv/ movies downstairs with only 3 people watching is a bit unnecessary. not much of a vibe to the place and breakfast is quiet often late in getting set up so if you need to be away by 8.10 don't depend on everything being ready.

As expected for the price of the stay. Beds comfy enough (privacy curtains were really appreciated), staff friendly, kitchen facilities useful & bathrooms clean. Breakfast is simple but fine, common areas the same, laundry facilities are reliable. Wifi however was extremely slow in our dorm, which was also very messy. Cleaning hours are also quite frustrating with areas closed at prime times of need. Feels like there are lots of long term residents rather than backpackers which can feel less social if you’r
